Job Title: Immigration Attorney - EOIR
Job Overview:
A law firm based in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced EOIR Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a caseload focused on representing individuals in removal proceedings and related immigration matters. The ideal candidate will be involved in a wide range of complex immigration filings and litigation before immigration courts and federal agencies. This is a strategic role for a motivated attorney looking to grow within a supportive team-oriented environment while delivering client-centered solutions in high-stakes immigration cases.
Duties:
Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
Handle appearances and filings with USCIS and related immigration bodies
Draft and submit applications including I-589, 42A, 42B, I-485, SIJS, and prosecutorial discretion (PD) requests
Oversee the preparation of family-based and humanitarian applications such as I-130, I-601A, and U-Visa filings
Conduct detailed client consultations to assess immigration strategies and legal options
Supervise and collaborate with a team of paralegals to ensure responsive client service
Write and submit persuasive legal briefs and supporting documentation for complex immigration cases
Requirements:
3-5 years of hands-on experience in immigration law, specifically with EOIR proceedings
Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume caseloads independently
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a commitment to legal excellence
Familiarity with family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, and citizenship matters
Proficiency in legal case management systems is preferred
Spanish language proficiency is a plus, though not mandatory
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school
Admission to the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction
Certifications:
Active license to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar
Skills:
Expertise in removal defense and defensive immigration applications
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment
Client-focused approach with high attention to detail
Leadership capabilities for managing legal support staff
