Litigation Legal Assistant
The candidate will format and construct various pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents. Manage correspondence between attorney and clients. Organize and maintain physical and electronic files. Oversight of individual client preferences, client accounts, and requests. Maintain attorney calendar. Electronic filing with Federal and State Courts. Service of documents. Provide proactive and advanced legal support. Other tasks as needed. Should have 2 years of experience in a law firm. Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of court requirements and procedures. Experience with the Federal and State Courts' electronic filing system. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to meet required deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and work calmly under pressure. High attention to detail, proactive, and self-motivated. Ability to both follow instructions, and to think and work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Professional appearance and attitude.
