Job Overview

A law firm seeks a California-licensed Litigation Attorney to join their team in Delray Beach, FL, or remotely. The attorney will handle litigated matters with a focus on defensive litigation involving residential real estate, title to real property, mortgages, and foreclosure.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of litigation related to mortgage servicing and foreclosure matters.
• Handle pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property.
• Prepare case analyses and advise clients on strategies.
• Draft court pleadings and motions.
• Conduct discovery, including taking and defending depositions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and make court appearances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the California State Bar, in good standing.
• Ability to consistently bill 1920 hours per year.
• Knowledge of foreclosure process preferred.
• Experience in real estate or mortgage servicing preferred.
