A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney in Westbury, NY. Duties

• Handle a full caseload of litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, discovery, and other court filings.
• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Advise clients on case strategies, risks, and potential outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with applicable court rules, deadlines, and procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients across multiple jurisdictions to align strategy and execution.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and client service.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York.
• 3+ years of litigation experience, ideally in creditors' rights, consumer finance, or financial services.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to additional state courts a plus.

Skills

• Background in banking, compliance, or regulatory law.
• Experience coordinating multi-state litigation matters.
