The candidate will adjudicate Employment Practices Liability (EPL) claims for customers. Will, under technical direction, work within specific limits and authority to analyze coverage, and evaluate claims and assign defense counsel as necessary. Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly. Communicate with insureds, brokers, defense counsel, and other involved parties. Properly and timely set claim reserves. Prepare reports for upper management, underwriters and actuaries as necessary. Manage claims in litigation. Manage diary timely to ensure that cases move to the best financial outcome and timely resolution. Apply creative solutions which result in the best financial outcome. Negotiate settlements. Have an appreciation and passion for strong claim management.
