Job Overview:

A well-established civil litigation firm in Los Angeles, CA is actively seeking an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney for a full-time role with hybrid flexibility. This position involves managing complex civil litigation matters from initial intake through final resolution, typically in collaboration with junior associates. The ideal candidate possesses strong litigation experience, demonstrated leadership in case supervision, and effective communication skills.

Duties:

• Evaluate new claims and establish strategic litigation plans at the outset

• Lead litigation strategy meetings with clients and third-party administrators

• Oversee case progression across all phases of litigation, from discovery to resolution

• Direct coordination of legal teams, clients, and support staff

• Draft and review discovery requests and responses

• Supervise and manage document review processes with internal and external teams

• Identify key documents and legal issues during discovery and pre-trial stages

• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and courtroom appearances

• Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and trial materials

• Maintain detailed and timely records of billable activity

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in California, in good standing

• Minimum of 4 years and up to 10 years of litigation experience

• Prior experience supervising associates or managing legal teams

• Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Experience conducting and defending depositions

• Familiarity with preparing legal motions, including summary judgment

• Background working with insurance carriers is an advantage

• Proficiency in managing written and oral discovery is essential

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must hold an active California State Bar license
