Tax Advisor - National Tax - Indirect Tax - Value Added Tax - Manager - Multiple

The candidate will advise clients within the pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, financial services, petrochemicals, and/or media and entertainment industries regarding international value-added tax (VAT) matters. Support multiple client teams on an ongoing basis with the delivery of VAT advice. Prepare and draft written VAT advice. Research VAT legislation, case law, and other VAT guidance to support partners on client engagements. Translate technical skills into practical solution-oriented advice, creating added value for our clients. Support clients with implementing VAT solutions in their ERP systems and other tax technology solutions, VAT registration and occasional VAT compliance work, and overall structuring and planning for VAT purposes. Provide leadership to employees and motivate teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Consistently deliver quality client services and monitor progress. Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Tax, Law, or a related field and 5 years of work experience in Tax. Will accept a 3 or 4-year degree. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Tax, Law, or a related field and 4 years of work experience in Tax. Of the required experience, must have 4 years of experience providing VAT/indirect tax advice within the pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, financial services, petrochemicals, and/or media and entertainment industries. Must have 4 years of experience in VAT taxation, including country-specific or multi-jurisdictional VAT, consulting, and VAT compliance. Must have 2 years of experience interacting with client tax directors or representatives. Must have 1 year of experience managing tax engagements, including engagement-related budgeting and billing, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, and escalating issues to tax partners or executives as needed.
