Duties

• Manage all phases of commercial litigation, from initial pleadings through trial and appeal.
• Draft and review complaints, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare substantive memoranda on complex commercial issues.
• Organize exhibits, prepare deposition summaries, and assist with witness preparation.
• Support alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation and arbitration.
• Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with procedural rules.
• Coordinate with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client communications.

Requirements

• 2 years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm.
• Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar in good standing.
• Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines.
• Experience with motion practice and trial preparation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Wisconsin State Bar license.
• Additional state bar admissions (preferred but not required).

Skills

• Proficiency with Westlaw, LexisNexis, and e-filing systems.
• Excellent drafting and document-review capabilities.
