Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Construction Litigation Attorney in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction litigation and be a licensed member of the Florida Bar in good standing.

Duties

• Manage a caseload from case inception through trial or resolution.
• Conduct legal research and supervise research projects delegated to paralegals.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and reports.
• Attend court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and meetings with clients.
• Negotiate settlements.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of dedicated construction litigation experience.
• Proven ability to manage construction and complex litigation caseloads.
• Prior insurance defense and/or personal/bodily injury litigation experience.
• Licensed member of the Florida Bar in good standing.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Florida Bar License.

Skills

• Excellent and persuasive verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient use of technology and automation resources, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
