A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Finance and Commercial Transactions Associate in Sterling Heights, MI. The ideal candidate will have a background in structuring, negotiating, and documenting complex financial and commercial agreements, and representing clients in related legal matters.

Duties

• Provide legal advice on commercial finance and lending matters, including acquisition finance and asset-based lending.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in financial transactions.
• Conduct due diligence investigations for financial transactions.
• Draft and negotiate financial and commercial agreements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in commercial lending and finance.
• Strong research, drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Admission in good standing to at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Licensed or willing to become licensed in Michigan.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including prolonged sitting/standing and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
