A law firm seeks a skilled Criminal Defense and Family Law Attorney in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will passionately protect clients' rights in criminal proceedings and guide families through sensitive domestic matters. Duties

• Represent clients in criminal cases at the state and/or federal level.
• Handle family law matters including divorce, child custody, and support.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal briefs.
• Conduct client consultations and advise on legal strategies.
• Perform legal research and investigative work.
• Negotiate plea agreements and settlements.
• Advocate for clients at hearings and trials.
• Maintain strong communication with clients.
• Collaborate with paralegals and fellow attorneys.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing in IL (TX, KS, MO a plus).
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in criminal defense and/or family law.
• Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
• Commitment to ethical practice and client advocacy.
• Must be fluent in Spanish.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in IL (TX, KS, MO a plus).

Skills
