Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Location: Stillwater, MN

Job Overview: A well-established law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join their team. This position will involve a variety of litigation matters, including civil, business, and real estate litigation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cases from inception to trial while offering strategic advice and exceptional client service.

Duties:

• Manage litigation cases from preliminary investigation through all phases of pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.

• Provide high-quality legal advice and consultation to clients with a focus on favorable case resolutions.

• Demonstrate professionalism and exceptional customer service in client interactions.

• Develop strategies for resolving complex legal matters effectively and efficiently.

• Draft and research legal documents with attention to detail.

• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure effective case management and client satisfaction.

• Represent clients in court, mediation, and negotiations with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in Minnesota and/or Wisconsin, with good standing.

• A minimum of 3-10 years of litigation experience.

• Strong understanding of civil procedural and administrative rules and practices.

• Experience with all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and trial.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Strong research abilities and attention to detail.

• Capable of managing client expectations and maintaining positive relationships.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

• Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.

• A resilient and adaptable professional with a positive attitude.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota and/or Wisconsin.

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of civil litigation procedures.

• Strong legal writing and research capabilities.

• Excellent negotiation and client communication skills.

• High attention to detail and time management abilities.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
