Job Overview

A law firm seeks a driven attorney to join its civil defense litigation practice group in Lake Mary, Florida. The role involves defending insurance companies, businesses, sovereign immune entities, non-profits, and individuals in various legal matters, including premises liability, personal injury, products liability, auto liability, and torts.

Duties

• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue dispositive motions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
• Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law
• Prepare pleadings and correspondence
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Provide exemplary legal counsel to clients

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of civil defense litigation experience
• Experience in personal injury, bodily injury, general liability, and/or insurance defense litigation preferred
• Experience managing own caseload
• Familiarity with hourly billing

Education

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar

Certifications

• Florida Bar membership
