Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience to join its litigation practice. Candidates with experience as a Chancery clerk are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to assist in complex litigation matters. Location:

Duties:

• Assist in handling complex litigation matters, including pre-trial motions, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, pleadings, and motions.
• Participate in discovery processes, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories.
• Prepare and file court documents in accordance with local rules and deadlines.
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of cases for trial, including witness preparation and exhibits.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys in developing strategies and legal arguments.
• Communicate with clients to provide case updates and manage expectations.
• Attend hearings, conferences, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Manage a caseload efficiently, meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality work.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of litigation experience.
• Chancery clerk experience is highly preferred.
• Strong research and writing skills with the ability to analyze complex legal issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• A proactive and client-oriented approach to legal work.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the state bar (appropriate jurisdiction for the office location).

Skills:

• Legal research and analysis.
• Drafting of pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
• Familiarity with litigation processes and court procedures.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
