Paralegal

The candidate will prepare and format initial drafts of contracts, legal research, correspondence. Opening and Closing of Matters. Assist in the preparation of loan documents, purchase agreements, deeds, and other conveyance documents, easements, general agreements and contracts. Assist with the closings of all types of commercial business transactions. Apply analytical skills to determine issues; proactively suggest appropriate solutions and recommendations to enhance final work product. Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments for all parties of transaction, including lenders, attorneys, title companies, brokers etc. Maintain corporate client records, files and policies. Review title reports, surveys and organizational documents. Prepare corporate documents for entity formation of corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. Provide paralegal support, perform other paralegal duties and complete special projects as may be assigned. 2-3 years of prior experience drafting legal documents and correspondence, understanding of commercial contracts, and transactional forms preferred. Adept using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment required. Excellent attention to detail required. Active Maryland Notary required. References and background check are required. The candidate should be an experienced paralegal to assist with litigation and real estate and land use transactions. Will provide legal and administrative support to firm partners who have responsibility over commercial business, real estate and land use transactions.
