Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm with a strong national presence is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Attorney to join its growing Construction Practice Group in Texas. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned litigator with a minimum of six years of construction litigation experience. The successful candidate will play a lead role in case management and trial preparation, representing clients in complex construction disputes. Location:
Duties:
Handle a wide range of construction litigation matters from inception through trial
Manage files independently, including responsibility for motion practice and depositions
Prepare for and participate in courtroom proceedings
Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and legal correspondence
Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
Interact directly with clients and opposing counsel
Provide legal analysis and strategic guidance in complex construction-related disputes
Support team collaboration and contribute to the continued growth of the construction practice group
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 years of construction litigation experience
Proven trial preparation and courtroom experience
Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, particularly in construction-related matters
Familiarity with insurance defense processes is a plus
Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and work independently
High attention to detail and strong work ethic
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
In good standing with the Texas State Bar
Skills:
Strong research, writing, and negotiation skills
Effective oral and written advocacy
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency with legal case management tools and litigation software
