Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an experienced Business Immigration Attorney to join its growing practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in both business and USCIS immigration matters, including handling complex cases and providing strategic legal advice to clients. A minimum of 3 years of experience in immigration law is required. The position is based in Fairfax, VA with a hybrid work setup.

Location:

• Fairfax, VA

Duties:

• Manage USCIS immigration cases, including family-based petitions, adjustment of status applications, and naturalization.
• Prepare and file employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, including H-1B, L-1, E-2, O-1, PERM, and NIW.
• Provide legal guidance on complex business/USCIS cases, including RFEs, NOIDs, and challenging filings.
• Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, forms, affidavits, and supporting evidence.
• Conduct consultations with clients to assess their USCIS and business immigration needs and provide tailored legal strategies.
• Communicate with USCIS and other government agencies to ensure timely resolution of cases.
• Monitor and manage deadlines for filings, responses to RFEs, and other USCIS-related processes.
• Stay informed on changes in immigration law and policy, especially USCIS updates.
• Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient and accurate preparation of USCIS filings.
• Supervise paralegals and legal assistants to ensure high-quality work and compliance.
• Mentor and guide junior staff to achieve optimal performance and professional growth.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active VA bar membership in good standing (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in business/USCIS immigration law.
• In-depth knowledge of USCIS processes, family-based petitions, adjustment of status, and employment-based visas.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and research skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
• Multilingual candidates, especially Spanish or other languages, are highly desirable.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Virginia Bar membership (preferred).

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of USCIS processes and business immigration law.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
