A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Associate Attorney to join its nationally recognized Employment and Labor practice in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of employment defense experience, including litigation defense of wage and hour class actions, discrimination, and retaliation matters. Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Defend clients in wage and hour class actions, discrimination, and retaliation cases
• Draft motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions
• Advise clients on employment policies, procedures, and key legal risks
• Draft employment agreements, training programs, and auditing programs for employers
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice on employment law matters
• Represent clients in litigation and negotiate favorable settlements
• Collaborate with other offices and sectors to provide holistic legal solutions
• Engage in crisis management services and conduct workplace investigations
• Participate in webinars, seminars, and speaking engagements to provide thought leadership
• Contribute to a weekly newsletter and act as a media source on employment law developments

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of solid experience in employment defense litigation
• Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
• Excellent legal research and analytical abilities
• Effective problem-solving capabilities with the ability to work independently and proactively
• Experience advising on employment practices and conducting training programs is a plus
• California Bar membership in good standing

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar
