A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in New York City, NY, to support its Business Restructuring and Reorganization team. The candidate should have experience in complex commercial litigation, particularly in bankruptcy litigation, liability management, corporate disputes, and financial restructuring-related disputes.

Duties

• Represent financial institutions in creditor-side litigation within Chapter 11 cases and out-of-court settings.
• Handle debtor/sponsor-side litigation in high-profile Chapter 11 cases, including adversary proceedings and plan confirmation disputes.
• Manage distressed M&A litigation involving asset sales under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.
• Advise clients on litigation risks associated with in-court and out-of-court transactions.

Requirements

• Experience in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appellate work.
• Significant experience in complex commercial litigation, preferably focusing on bankruptcy litigation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
