Job Overview:
A growing civil litigation law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its remote practice, primarily serving clients in New Jersey and New York. The role focuses on a broad range of litigation matters, including commercial and real estate disputes, as well as both plaintiff and defense personal injury cases. This position is ideal for early-career attorneys who are looking to build courtroom and litigation skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Location:

• Jersey City, NJ

Duties:

• Draft and format motions, pleadings, discovery demands, and responses

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda

• Communicate with clients, court personnel, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel

• Review medical records, bank statements, expert reports, and case materials

• Appear in court to argue motions, attend conferences, and support litigation proceedings

• Assist in trial preparation, including depositions and evidence organization

• Participate in all phases of litigation from pre-trial to post-trial proceedings

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience as an associate attorney, judicial clerk, or law clerk

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey or actively seeking admission

• Prior litigation experience is preferred

• Familiarity with New Jersey and/or New York court rules

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey (required)

• New York Bar admission is a plus

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills

• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical capabilities

• Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and handle a varied caseload

• Competency in reviewing and analyzing complex case records and evidence

• Proficient with legal software and remote collaboration tools
