Job Title: Foreclosure Litigation Partner

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm located in New York City is seeking a seasoned litigation partner to oversee mortgage foreclosure matters. This opportunity is ideal for a legal professional with extensive experience representing financial institutions and loan servicers in contested mortgage foreclosure litigation. The position requires a high degree of independence, courtroom proficiency, and familiarity with lender-side technologies. This is a remote-eligible role, though the position is based in New York.

Duties:

• Oversee and manage contested foreclosure litigation cases from intake through final disposition

• Prepare and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and other court submissions

• Represent clients during hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions

• Provide strategic counsel and regular case updates to financial institution clients

• Supervise junior attorneys and support staff on litigation matters

• Ensure compliance with procedural deadlines and state-specific foreclosure requirements

• Utilize legal technology platforms such as LPS/Black Knight and Tempo to manage workflow

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience handling lender-side foreclosure litigation

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation dockets and trial appearances

• Practical knowledge of state and federal foreclosure laws and procedural rules

• Proficiency in legal case management systems and document automation tools

• Established client base or portable book of business strongly preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of New York

Skills:

• Exceptional legal research and writing proficiency

• Strong courtroom presence and litigation acumen

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously

• Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities under pressure
