Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Associate Attorney with 3–4 years of litigation experience to join its Financial Restructuring group in New York. The role involves representing clients in complex disputes related to financial instruments and distressed situations, offering an excellent opportunity to gain substantial experience and front-line responsibility within a collaborative and specialized team environment.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Represent clients in high-stakes financial and bankruptcy-related litigation

• Draft litigation documents including briefs, motions, and pleadings

• Conduct complex legal research and provide strategic legal analysis

• Lead discovery processes and manage document review and production

• Prepare for and participate in hearings in New York state and federal courts

• Work closely with partners and clients in developing case strategies

• Collaborate across practice areas as needed on multidisciplinary matters

Requirements:

• 3–4 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on bankruptcy or financial restructuring matters

• Experience in New York state court litigation

• Familiarity with disputes involving financial instruments or distressed assets

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Law firm experience is required

• Admission to the New York Bar

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and good-standing membership with the New York State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

• Proficient in legal research tools and e-discovery platforms

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills

• Highly organized and able to work both independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle high-pressure environments and tight deadlines
