A law firm seeks a Trust and Estate Planning Associate with 1-4 years of relevant experience to join its Estate Planning Practice Group in Madison, WI. The associate will engage in a variety of estate planning and administration tasks, supporting high-net-worth individuals and business owners.

Duties

• Draft estate planning and business succession documents.
• Support tax planning analyses, including income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
• Contribute to charitable planning and tax-exempt organization matters.
• Participate in estate and trust administration, including probate proceedings.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing federal estate and gift tax filings.

Requirements

• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple matters effectively.
• Foundational understanding of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax concepts.
• Interest in developing a long-term practice in estate planning.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
• Timely admission to the Wisconsin Bar required.
