Duties:

• Represent clients in various stages of insurance defense litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Manage a diverse caseload focusing on insurance defense matters.
• Provide clients comprehensive legal advice and guidance on insurance claims, coverage issues, and liability.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or arbitration proceedings.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and legal professionals.
• Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as necessary.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to insurance defense.

Requirements:

• 2-7 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Admission to the West Virginia State Bar.
• Proven track record of successfully handling insurance defense cases.
• Thorough understanding of insurance law and legal procedures.
