A law firm seeks an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney in Sewickley, PA. The successful candidate will provide legal counsel, perform research, draft documents, and maintain client files. This full-time role offers the opportunity to learn from senior associates and grow within the firm.

Duties

• Assist clients in resolving legal conflicts and determining the best course of action.
• Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case handling.
• Perform legal research and prepare for hearings and legal proceedings.
• Draft contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct client needs assessments and develop strategic case plans.
• Represent clients in court hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding case status.
• Ensure organized and accurate case files and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with attorneys, legal staff, and court personnel.
• Mentor and support junior staff where appropriate.
• Meet and exceed firm billable hour expectations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing with the ABA.
• Successful completion of the bar exam.
• Minimum 3-5 years of Family Law experience.
• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• Strong understanding of family law procedures and litigation strategy.
• Ability to manage billable hours effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
