A law firm seeks a mid-senior level wage and hour associate for its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in wage and hour litigation, particularly in handling complex class, collective, and representative actions in state and federal courts.

Duties

• Draft and respond to complaints, answers, and dispositive motions.
• Manage written discovery processes.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare and argue motions, including class certification and decertification.
• Litigate and strategize PAGA representative actions.
• Analyze exemption classifications and regular rate calculations.
• Ensure compliance with meal and rest period regulations.
• Handle pay statement claims and waiting time penalties.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant litigation experience.
• Admission to the California Bar.
• Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• California Bar admission.
