Job Overview: A prominent multi-office law firm is seeking an experienced Coverage Associate Attorney to join its team in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with top-tier legal professionals on complex insurance coverage and reinsurance matters, providing legal expertise and solutions to high-profile clients. The role involves a mix of independent work and collaborative efforts, with the potential for some travel. Duties:

• Manage a caseload, balancing independent work with team collaboration as appropriate for experience level.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and written discovery documents.
• Engage in depositions, court appearances, and motion practice based on experience.
• Analyze insurance policies and prepare detailed insurance coverage opinions.
• Communicate directly with clients, providing strategic advice and guidance.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research on complex insurance-related matters.
• Foster and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, ensuring compliance with all client expectations and deadlines.
• Meet both internal and external deadlines effectively and efficiently.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience in insurance coverage law or related areas (such as reinsurance or regulatory law).
• Strong writing, research, and analytical abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development in the legal field.
• Admission (or pending admission) to practice in the State of Connecticut (additional admissions in PA, NJ, or NY are a plus).
• Federal Court experience is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the state(s) of practice (Connecticut required, additional states a plus).
