Job Overview:
A well-established regional law firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to join its Bankruptcy Department. This position offers an opportunity to represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and manage all aspects of the bankruptcy process, including plan confirmation, motions for relief, contested matters, and adversary proceedings. The attorney will collaborate with support staff to draft and review documentation and may be required to travel to courts throughout Georgia. This is a full-time position based in Georgia.

Duties:
Represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
Review and manage legal documents such as notices, pleadings, and correspondence.
Prepare and respond to written inquiries or disputes efficiently.
Attend and argue motions and hearings before Georgia courts.
Participate in mediation sessions to resolve disputes.
Provide legal counsel to clients throughout the bankruptcy process.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in Georgia, including State, Federal, and Bankruptcy courts, with CM/ECF filing credentials.
A minimum of two years of experience representing creditors in bankruptcy or insolvency matters.
Strong knowledge of secured creditor issues and bankruptcy law.
Ability to manage a high caseload with strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and with senior management.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the Bar in Georgia (State, Federal, and Bankruptcy Courts).
CM/ECF filing credentials required.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of bankruptcy law, particularly regarding secured creditors.
Excellent drafting and legal writing skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to handle complex legal matters and work under tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court officials.
