A law firm seeks a Private Wealth Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its team in Washington, D.C. This position is ideal for an attorney with a strong technical background in trusts and estates and tax planning, interested in working with sophisticated, high-net-worth clients in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and fiduciaries on estate, gift, GST, and income tax planning matters.
• Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and charitable planning vehicles.
• Assist with the administration of estates and trusts, including filings and distributions.
• Support senior attorneys on wealth transfer strategies, succession planning, and asset protection.
• Collaborate with internal teams and outside advisors, such as accountants and investment advisors.
• Utilize fintech applications to enhance the client experience.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 3-5 years of private wealth or trusts and estates experience at a law firm.
• DC Bar admission or eligibility to waive in; TX or FL Bar admission is a plus.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Tax LL.M. or CPA preferred.

Skills

• Strong technical background in trusts and estates and tax planning.
• Experience with fintech applications is advantageous.
