Duties
- Handle bid protests and related litigation matters.
- Provide counsel on cybersecurity and compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS).
- Draft and analyze Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs) and claims under the Contract Disputes Act (CDA).
- Represent clients in federal subcontracting matters, including dispute resolution and flow-down compliance.
- Address issues involving multiple award contracts and small business procurement.
- Work with industries such as aerospace/defense, infrastructure/construction, life sciences/pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
- Independently manage specific projects and collaborate on broader team efforts.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, including written articles and oral presentations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4–5 years of experience in government contracts law, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Proven expertise in bid protests, FAR/DFARS compliance, and claims-related counseling and litigation.
- Experience in advising on subcontracting and small business procurement issues.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and effectively.
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
Certifications
- Admission to the Virginia State Bar is highly preferred.
