Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced government contracts attorney to join their team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in federal government contracts, with a preference for 6-9 years. Experience in a law firm setting is strongly preferred.
Duties
- Handle bid protests and acquisition regulation interpretation.
- Provide compliance counseling and draft REAs and claims.
- Engage in CDA claim litigation and federal subcontracting issues.
- Address terminations, OCIs, and suspension and debarment matters.
- Manage multiple award contracts and small business procurement issues.
- Participate in client development and thought leadership opportunities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in federal government contracts law.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently on certain matters.
- GovCon M&A experience is a plus.
- Experience in aerospace/defense, infrastructure/construction, life sciences/pharmaceutical, or manufacturing industries is helpful.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Bar admission in good standing.
Skills
- Proficiency in FAR and DFARS.
- Strong client development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
