A law firm seeks a Virginia-barred associate attorney for its office in Laurel, MD. The firm encourages diverse and minority candidates to apply. Duties

• Manage and prioritize a large caseload.
• Draft and review pleadings to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Attend hearings and status conferences.
• Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
• Provide creative solutions to complex problems to mitigate client risk.

Requirements

• Virginia bar admission.
• Five years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong understanding of title, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and mortgage banking.

Education

• Juris Doctorate.

Certifications

• Member in good standing of the Virginia Bar.

Skills

• Excellent legal drafting and research skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
