A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Alexandria, VA. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of practice experience and be licensed to practice law in DC, Maryland, and/or Virginia. Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of practice experience.
• Licensed to practice law in DC, Maryland, and/or Virginia.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication.
• Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and independently.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or equivalent.

Certifications

• Bar admission in DC, Maryland, and/or Virginia.
