Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking an experienced and driven attorney to fill the role of Pre-Litigation Assistant Director within its Personal Injury practice group. This position is ideal for a bilingual (Spanish/English) attorney with significant pre-litigation experience who thrives in a leadership capacity and enjoys working in a client-centered, fast-paced legal environment. This is a primarily in-office position based in San Diego, CA, with the possibility of a hybrid arrangement.

Location:

• San Diego, California

Duties:

• Manage a full caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters

• Make strategic decisions related to settlements, treatment options, and litigation readiness

• Draft demand letters and negotiate directly with insurance adjusters

• Communicate with clients, team members, and third parties to drive case resolutions

• Ensure thorough documentation and compliance using legal case management software (e.g., Filevine, SmartAdvocate, Clio)

• Collaborate with the Pre-Litigation Director and Practice Group Administrator

• Support overflow assignments and contribute to departmental initiatives

• Perform additional responsibilities as required to meet team and firm-wide goals

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of litigation or personal injury experience

• Prior experience managing a high-volume pre-litigation caseload

• Proven ability to work independently while also contributing to team objectives

• Familiarity with insurance negotiation and client relationship management

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and good-standing license to practice law in California

Skills:

• Fluency in Spanish (required)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking under tight deadlines

• Reliable team player with initiative and adaptability
