Duties

• Conduct legal research and produce detailed research memoranda.
• Communicate directly with clients to provide legal advice and guidance.
• Draft pleadings, including initial filings, settlement documents, and motions.
• Conduct depositions and engage in fact-finding activities.
• Attend court hearings, ADR sessions, and client meetings.
• Represent clients in mediations and settlement conferences.
• Serve as assistant trial counsel and participate in trial preparation.
• Negotiate case settlements and resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with California statutes, rules, and case law.
• Perform administrative and management functions related to caseload.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in California.
• 5-7 years of experience working at a law firm.
• Experience with eDiscovery platforms, CCC Macros, Expert Time, IManage, and Titan File (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse individuals.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar license in California.
