Duties

• Meet with clients and review client information; confer with managing members and associate attorneys.
• Research laws, statutes, ordinances, regulations, and court opinions using Westlaw and standard print texts.
• Develop legal strategies, prepare contracts, documents, and memoranda, and explain legal options to clients.
• Prepare cases by gathering necessary documents and attending meetings, hearings, and client conferences.
• Manage files by monitoring schedules and expediting requirements.
• Appear on behalf of clients or support other attorneys at meetings or hearings.
• Maintain client contact and keep clients informed of case status.
• Participate in continuing education and professional organizations to update legal knowledge.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from a U.S. accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in New Jersey; New York admission is a plus.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant legal experience.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
• Excellent research, written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills to digest information effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey; New York admission is a plus.
