A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join its Personal Injury team in San Diego, CA. This role is ideal for a self-starting attorney passionate about advocating for injured clients in the pre-litigation stage. The position primarily requires in-person attendance at the San Diego office, with a potential for a flexible hybrid arrangement.

Duties

• Manage a full caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters with supervision and support.
• Make strategic decisions regarding case outcomes, including settlement discussions and litigation readiness.
• Draft demand letters and negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters.
• Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and external parties.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Support overflow tasks and contribute to special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and firm-wide goals.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in California.
• 5+ years of experience in litigation.
• Experience managing a high-volume pre-litigation caseload.
• Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office products.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education
