A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Attorney to join its team in Texas. This role involves handling a broad spectrum of labor and employment matters, including litigation, legal advisory, and transactional work. The ideal candidate will have expertise in employment-related legal issues, ranging from wage disputes and discrimination claims to contract negotiations and corporate employment policies. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a combination of in-office and remote work.
Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including class action and single-plaintiff cases.
Handle legal research, case strategy development, and document drafting for employment-related disputes.
Provide legal counsel on various employment matters, such as wage and hour laws, harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination.
Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements, including contracts, severance packages, and restrictive covenants.
Conduct due diligence on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
Advise clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Develop and implement workplace policies and training programs addressing key employment issues.
Manage interactions with regulatory agencies and represent clients in administrative proceedings.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment law, including litigation, advisory, and transactional work.
Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, discrimination statutes, and labor policies.
Prior experience defending class and collective actions.
Ability to provide strategic guidance to clients on employment-related legal matters.
Strong analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
Strong legal research and writing abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
Proficiency in legal technology and case management tools.
