A law firm seeks an associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its Digital Risk Advisory and Cybersecurity Team in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will advise clients on cybersecurity incidents, regulatory investigations, and advisory work, including incident response and risk assessments. Duties

• Guide clients through cybersecurity incident responses and subsequent developments.
• Advise on privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and risk management issues.
• Conduct incident response tabletops and build cybersecurity programs.
• Perform risk assessments and provide strategic advice.

Requirements

• Experience with cybersecurity incident response and regulatory inquiries.
• Familiarity with privacy and cybersecurity laws (e.g., CCPA, GDPR, GLBA) is a plus.
• Am Law 100 experience preferred.
• Three or more years of commercial litigation experience with an interest in cybersecurity.
• Admission, or eligibility for admission, in the state of practice.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant state.

• Strong knowledge of data privacy and security laws and frameworks.
