Associate Attorney - Commercial Litigation

Profile

A law firm seeks a collaborative and driven Associate Attorney to join its Litigation group in the Cleveland office. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of experience in commercial litigation, gained within a large law firm environment.

Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, keeping them informed on case developments.
• Foster relationships with external stakeholders, including opposing counsel and court personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of commercial litigation experience in a large law firm setting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio.
