Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Of Counsel to join its Litigation group in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal writing skills, particularly in pharmaceutical and medical device Daubert/Rule 702 motions practice. This role offers a hybrid work environment, combining in-office presence with work-from-home flexibility.

Duties

• Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Communicate effectively with clients.
• Supervise and mentor associates.
• Collaborate with experts in the field.
• Assist with fact development and depositions.
• Contribute to case strategy development.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Extensive experience with Rule 702 and Daubert issues.
• Background in science (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) required.
• Experience in products liability litigation.
• Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of application.
• New York bar admission encouraged.
