A respected law firm in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with at least four years of experience in civil litigation. The ideal candidate will take an active role in representing clients across a wide array of business-related legal disputes, including contract matters, corporate governance, and professional liability claims. Duties

• Represent clients in civil and commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, corporate finance and securities, fiduciary claims, and professional liability

• Handle all phases of litigation, from case initiation through trial or resolution

• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda

• Participate in depositions, arbitrations, mediations, hearings, and trials

• Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and regulatory agencies

• Manage case files and deadlines with increasing responsibility over time

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation at a private law firm

• Trial experience and/or trial preparation involvement strongly preferred

• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset

• Committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic record preferred

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Oregon (required)

• Admission in Washington is a plus
