Duties

• Manage matters with a focus on ADR processes prior to litigation.
• Evaluate claims, analyze liability and damages, and develop early case strategies.
• Draft demand packages, settlement agreements, and other pre-litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research to provide informed advice and practical solutions.
• Communicate regularly with clients for guidance and strategic recommendations.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance carriers.
• Participate in mediations and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to maximize case value and identify early resolution opportunities.
• Maintain accurate case evaluations and file documentation.
• Stay current on developments in California law affecting client matters.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of experience in ADR and negotiated resolutions of disputes.
• Strong negotiation skills and success in resolving matters outside formal litigation.
• Experience evaluating claims and developing settlement strategies.
• Experience in mediations and other ADR proceedings.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-management skills.
• Strong legal writing and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail.
• Sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and professionalism.
• Practical, solutions-oriented approach to legal problems.
• Experience or interest in California homeowner association law.
• Experience in real estate, business, or administrative practice areas is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
