Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their litigation team in New York, New York. This role offers an exciting opportunity to defend complex cases in general liability, premises liability, personal injury, tort claims, and other areas. Duties

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from start to finish.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and partners on legal projects.
• Handle court appearances and depositions regularly.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in New York.
• 3-8 years of litigation experience, including general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and insurance defense.
• Experience in trucking-related litigation, construction/labor law, and/or transportation matters is highly preferred.
• Understanding of NY Construction Law (Labor Law §§200, 240, 241) and experience with OSHA proceedings are a plus.
• Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Legal project management experience is helpful.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in New York.
