Job Overview:
A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced Associate to join its Insurance Recovery and Counseling Group. The ideal candidate will possess 4-7 years of experience in representing corporate policyholders and insureds in insurance disputes, both in and out of court. This position requires strong writing, research, and analytical skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Represent corporate policyholders and insured clients in disputes with insurance carriers.
• Handle cases both in and out of court, managing all phases of litigation and insurance recovery matters.
• Draft legal documents including briefs, motions, and discovery responses.
• Research complex insurance issues, providing clear and actionable insights.
• Take the initiative to lead client matters and contribute to the development of legal strategies.
• Collaborate with a national team of professionals on large-scale matters.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of relevant experience in insurance recovery and counseling.
• Proven ability to handle complex insurance disputes and litigation.
• Excellent writing, research, and analytical capabilities.
• Strong academic background with a demonstrated commitment to the legal profession.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proven track record of managing client relationships and taking ownership of legal matters.
• Admission to the California Bar is required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.
