Duties

• Independently manage complex family law matters, including high-asset divorce and custody disputes.
• Serve as lead attorney on cases from intake through resolution.
• Develop legal strategy and provide high-level counsel to clients.
• Mentor and train associate attorneys on legal strategy and client management.
• Review pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements prepared by associates.
• Appear in court as needed and provide guidance on litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes and practice standards.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
• 5-8+ years of dedicated family law experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex and emotionally charged cases with professionalism.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and training capabilities.
• Strong courtroom presence, legal writing, and negotiation skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina.
