The candidate will analyze bespoke insurance policies, draft coverage opinions and provide coverage advice and recommendations to clients. Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda. Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs, and other legal correspondence. Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties. Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required. Should be admitted to practice in California; Also admitted to practice in New York preferred; 10+ years of experience in complex insurance coverage and litigation matters; excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature; ability to handle time-sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously; ability to identify and resolve problems quickly; Works well in a team setting; excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
