Job Title: Senior Workers' Compensation Attorney

Job Overview:

A prominent law firm based in Costa Mesa, CA, is actively seeking an experienced attorney with a strong background in applicant-side workers’ compensation cases. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex casework, mentor junior staff, and contribute strategically to the firm's growth initiatives. Duties:

• Manage and resolve applicant-side workers' compensation claims from intake through settlement

• Formulate and execute case strategies tailored to clients’ needs

• Oversee and support junior attorneys and administrative staff in day-to-day legal tasks

• Build and maintain meaningful client relationships with a focus on trust and results

• Collaborate with firm partners and internal teams to ensure consistent case flow and resource alignment

• Conduct legal research and stay current on regulatory updates and legal trends in workers’ compensation law

• Engage in networking and business development to support client acquisition and retention

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in workers’ compensation law representing applicants

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full caseload through to resolution

• Prior leadership experience with attorneys or legal support teams

• Familiarity with California workers' compensation laws and processes

• Proficient in legal research, negotiation, and client advocacy

• Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities

• Willingness to contribute to firm-wide initiatives and collaborative legal practices

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Active and valid license to practice law in the State of California
