A law firm seeks a motivated and hardworking Associate Attorney to join its trial team in Walnut Creek, California. The successful candidate will contribute to the Tort & Catastrophic Loss practice group, leveraging the firm's resources to represent clients effectively in civil and criminal proceedings.

Duties

• Develop and maintain client relationships, providing counsel and representation in court and negotiations.
• Conduct research and prepare legal documents to develop case strategies.
• Explain legal options and potential outcomes to clients.
• Represent clients in legal proceedings and prepare necessary legal documents.
• Stay informed about current legislation relevant to legal specialties.
• Work independently or collaboratively to develop case strategies.
• Negotiate, research, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard client interests.
• Contribute to firm culture through committee involvement.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• In good standing and able to practice law in California.
• Strong critical thinking skills and solid academic background.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting billable hours.
• Proficient with technology and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with iManage and/or OneDrive is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
