Duties:

• Transactional Support: Oversee tax implications for corporate formations, reorganizations, mergers, and acquisitions, ensuring optimal deal structuring.

• Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance through intricate tax issues to build trust and ensure client satisfaction.

• Dispute Resolution and Representation: Represent clients before federal, state, and local tax authorities, handling audits, appeals, and disputes to safeguard client interests and minimize risk.

• Research and Analysis: Stay informed on changes to tax laws and regulations, providing clients with proactive and accurate legal advice through thorough research and analysis.

• Team Collaboration: Work alongside colleagues in various practice areas, such as corporate law and estate planning, to deliver comprehensive legal services.

• Practice Development: Engage in networking, contribute to thought leadership, and cultivate referral relationships to support the growth of the firm’s client base.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex tax matters, including both planning and controversial work.

• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

• Advanced degree in Taxation (LL.M) or CPA experience is preferred but not required.

Skills:

• Expertise in tax planning and advisory for businesses, individuals, and trusts.

• Experience in representing clients in tax disputes, audits, and appeals.

• Ability to manage complex legal issues and deliver practical solutions.
